Spintronics and Quantum Computing Devices

| Abstract | Spintronics, or spin-based electronics, is an emerging field that exploits the intrinsic spin of electrons and its associated magnetic moment, in addition to charge, for information processing. Unlike traditional electronics, which relies solely on charge transport, spintronics offers the promise of faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient devices. In parallel, quantum computing seeks to harness the principles of quantum mechanics—superposition and entanglement—to perform computations far beyond the capabilities of classical computers. The intersection of these two fields has led to new opportunities in the development of quantum computing devices based on spintronic principles. |
