India-China-U.S. Trade War: Balancing Relationships, Economic Reorganization, Supply-Chain Rebalancing

Abstract The recent economic and trade conflict started in 2018 by United States has reached on its peak level, while creating a dynamic and complex situation among India-China and US and rest of the world. The dynamics of trade conflicts such as rising trade barriers, energy related conflicts and shifting in diplomatic ties influencing and reshaping the global world order and political relationships in the region also transforming geopolitical aspects. This paper discusses the results of the study which explored the current stage of the United States vs. India-China trade conflict, whereas data were collected from existing academic research, newspaper editorials, official government documents, authors and their books. The findings of the research examine that how significantly India optimize the current situation and balances itself while facing restrictive US trade policies at the same time strengthening and moving forward with equilibrium approach to economic rebalancing with China. The research emphasizing over theoretical foundations to understand and analyze the recent trade warfare patters as well as economic implications on the major economies in the region. Although India’s has stronger political ties with United States, still it preserves strategic autonomy by following balancing and pragmatic approach which strengthen Indo-China relation as India relies on Chinese products and material which emphasized over mixed results of India’s domestic policies on electronics and semiconductors. This research will examine that major and significant shift from trade-based emphasis to complex rivalry which involves strategic concerns, industrial rules and technological standards. The global dynamics has been changing where states cooperate and collaborate more frequently on specific sectors like environmental challenges, technological advancements and digital networks instead of pursuing restrictive trade policies.
