| Abstract | The purpose of this dissertation is to highlight various events resulting in the economic crisis of 2008 and its subsequent effects on the economies around the world, more specifically focusing on India. The study will begin by focusing on the root causes that set the groundwork for the eventual crisis, then move onto explaining the actual occurrence of the said event and end with an economic, statistical and qualitative analysis of the impacts on the Indian economy as a whole. The study will be purely based on secondary data available regarding the subject matter and a personal interpretation backed by the use of factual economic data. |
