Mind to Market: How Cognitive and Emotional Factors Influence Entrepreneurial Success

Author(s) Vasundhara Singh
Country India
Abstract Entrepreneurial success extends beyond economic factors and is strongly shaped by cognitive and emotional dimensions. This study examines how cognitive processes—such as decision-making, creativity, heuristics, and biases—interact with emotional drivers like resilience, emotional intelligence, and entrepreneurial passion to influence venture creation, development, and sustainability. By integrating insights from psychological capital theory (hope, efficacy, resilience, optimism), the research highlights how cognitive strategies and emotional competencies affect ideation, opportunity recognition, and commercialization. The findings suggest that entrepreneurial outcomes are not only determined by market conditions but also by the entrepreneur’s mindset and ability to navigate uncertainty through adaptive cognition and emotional regulation. The study contributes to the growing literature on entrepreneurial psychology, emphasizing the importance of resilience, emotional agility, and self-efficacy in sustaining long-term entrepreneurial performance.
