Abstract Clubs, societies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are becoming more and more important in influencing students' overall development in higher education. These platforms offer chances for community involvement, networking, skill development, and leadership in addition to traditional classroom instruction. This study looks at how student involvement in organizations, societies, and clubs affects their academic performance and personal development. The results, which were derived from survey data gathered from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi undergraduate students, show gains in active participants' academic engagement, communication, teamwork, and confidence. According to the study, participation in extracurricular activities improves academic performance by encouraging motivation, peer learning, and skill development. It also helps students get ready for their future careers and social obligations.
