| Abstract | The Indian Police Act came into being as an organized force in 1861 for the maintenance of law and order. The police play an important role in maintaining and providing safety and security to individuals and ensuring order in society. In India, except for a few states, other states are struggling with the problem of an increasing crime rate every year. The 21st-century policing across the world is reshaped by Technology at an unprecedented rate in both police functioning and the Criminal justice system. It may be that the police are more efficient. IT has become a high-tech crime fighter for law enforcement agencies by carrying out crime prevention, analysis, traffic control, offender trafficking, etc. police surveillance is one of the activities among the various police IT initiatives, which is justified by its potential effect and crime prevention. This study brings out the working process of the police, various applications and policies to make faster services with innovative Technology, controls crimes and supervises and monitors the crime issues, as well as staff management, etc. |
