| Abstract | Abstract Information and communication technology (ICT) is influencing every aspect of human life. It has brought tremendous changes in the Indian education sector also. Teaching and learning methods, teacher training, meetings and information dissemination, all are impacted by the introduction of innovative technologies. The main aim of the paper is to elaborate the benefits of ICT in providing qualitative education in the country. The study also highlights the role played by popular Edtech startups in facilitating education in India. The study is mainly based on the secondary data sources. After reviewing the literature on the role of ICT in education it is found that students and teachers can perform their assignments in a very manageable way and it is improving the creativity among the students. It is also found that startups are providing a good platform to Indian students at affordable prices and are improving their productivity and efficiency. Therefore, ICT and Edtech startups are improving the teaching-learning process, quality and accessibility of education and learning environment in the Indian economy. |
