| Abstract | The CAMEL model is well known tool for assessing the soundness of Banks. It has been observed in the past studies that poor management and asset quality could be held responsible for the failure of the Bank. CAMEL model which assess banking institution on five parameters such that capital Adequacy, Asset quality, Management efficiency, Earning Ability & liquidity. Various studies in the past about the model reflect that various methods, ratios & measurement tools have been used over the period of time. This paper is Exploratory in nature as this paper will be an attempt to find out literature gap which will open the doors for further research in the field. |
