Abstract The health condition in Rural India has developed but more needs to be developed. The Governments in India have implemented many schemes to develop the health conditions in India. Swasthya Sathi is a health insurance scheme launched by the Government of West Bengal in 2016, aimed at providing comprehensive health coverage to the residents of the state. Nirmal Bangla Mission is a sanitation initiative launched by the Government of West Bengal in 2014, aiming to ensure clean, hygienic, and open-defecation-free (ODF) villages across the state. Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) is a health program under the National Health Mission (NHM) launched by the Indian Government in 2005. The National Iron Plus Initiative (NIPI) is a flagship program launched by the Government of India to combat iron deficiency anemia, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women. The Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP), launched in 1997, was built on the internationally recommended DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment, Short course) strategy to ensure high treatment success rates and early diagnosis. So, the objective of the paper is to find out the role of the health schemes to develop health conditions in Rural India.
