| Abstract | Laparoscopic surgery is widely adopted for its minimally invasive benefits, such as reduced pain and quicker recovery. However, abdominal entry remains a critical step associated with complications. There is increasing evidence that direct trocar entry (DTE) has been proposed as a safe and time-efficient alternative to the Veress needle technique. Objective: To evaluate the safety and complication profile of direct trocar entry in laparoscopic surgery. |
