Integrating Finite Element Analysis into Bridge Design for Sustainable Smart Cities

Abstract This paper explores the application of FEM in the design of bridge structures for smart cities. A detailed methodology is presented, covering modeling techniques, material considerations, and structural performance analysis. A case study is included to demonstrate the use of FEM for stress distribution, deflection analysis, and modal behavior in a smart city bridge design. The results show that FEM provides precise predictions and enhances the integration of smart technologies into modern bridge infrastructure. The paper concludes with recommendations for future applications of FEM in smart city context.
