| Abstract | Academic writing and question of plagiarism, both of these are commonly uttered among the scholars of academia. The journey of a research scholar gets validation and improvements through publishing contents of his/her field. During publication the copyright laws and ethical questions should be considered accordingly. Otherwise, publication misconduct or unethical activities can hamper the originality of content. The issue of plagiarism; meaning fabrication, falsification and scientific misconduct is a serious crime common among the intellectual communities. Lack of proper knowledge, hurry to publish or known shortcuts can bring terrible consequences to the researcher. Similarly, publication misconduct should be prevented in every step of the researcher; from data collection to data analysis till final output. In modern days, the easy accessibility of information and supporting tools for research (including AI) complicates the narrative of ethical practices and avoiding plagiarism. In this paper, these issues will be dealt from very basic with the reasons and ways to avoidance. Apart from the theoretical baseline, the prevention laws and adequate consequences are briefly catalogued for better understanding. |
