Abstract The proliferation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has profoundly reshaped how young people connect, communicate, and collaborate across diverse cultural landscapes. This paper investigates the role of digital platforms, including social media and virtual collaboration tools, in fostering intercultural cooperation and understanding among the youth. While ICT provides unprecedented access to cultural content and empowers young people to share their unique perspectives, significant challenges persist. Issues like the digital divide, the spread of misinformation, and cultural misunderstandings can hinder positive engagement, underscoring a critical need for enhanced digital literacy and equitable technology access. Educational interventions, such as virtual exchange programs, are vital in harnessing ICT to cultivate global citizenship. Ultimately, this study highlights ICT's transformative power to build a more interconnected global youth community, advocating for strategic approaches to overcome barriers to meaningful digital interaction.
