| Abstract | Between 2009 to 2019, the Indo-US bilateral evolved into a complex partnership with a marriage between economic prosperity, strategic defense engagement and periodic discord. This paper conducts a comparative analysis of the progress of Indo-US relations through myopically witnessing through the of two different regimes in India (UPA-II — 2009-2014 and NDA-II — 2014–2019) and two different regimes in the US — Obama and Trump. It analyses several contours political, economic and, strategic developments covering trade agreements, foreign direct investment (FDI) influx, military operations and regional security partnerships. |
