| Abstract | This paper examines the influence of technological advancements on the evolution of abstract photography, focusing on how innovations have redefined both practice and perception in the field. Abstract photography, traditionally recognized for its departure from representational imagery, has expanded its scope with the arrival of digital cameras, sophisticated editing software, mobile-based photography, and the pervasive impact of social media. The study explores how these developments have broadened creative possibilities, enabling photographers to experiment with digital manipulation, augmented reality, and three-dimensional rendering. By bridging technology with artistic intent, such practices challenge conventional boundaries and foster new forms of visual expression. Furthermore, the paper discusses emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and blockchain—and their potential to reshape abstraction in contemporary photography. Selected case studies demonstrate how practitioners utilize these tools to merge conceptual innovation with technical experimentation. The paper concludes that advancing technologies not only enrich creative expression but also enhance audience engagement and authenticity in digital art. Abstract photography, therefore, continues to remain a dynamic and relevant practice, constantly redefined through its interaction with technological progress. |
