Green Energy: A Safe Choice for the Future

Author(s) Ms. Neha Meena, Ms. Kavita Verma
Country India
Abstract The global demand for energy is growing rapidly, accompanied by concerns about environmental degradation, climate change, and finite fossil fuel reserves. Green energy, encompassing solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and biomass, offers a sustainable, low-emission alternative to conventional fossil-based energy systems. This paper explores green energy as a safer future energy source in terms of environmental impact, economic viability, technological development, and societal benefits. It also highlights challenges such as intermittency, storage, and policy gaps, and suggests solutions to overcome these barriers. Through a review of recent global trends and case studies, the paper concludes that a large-scale shift to green energy is not only feasible but essential for ensuring a secure, clean, and equitable future.
