A Review on Analysis of Tall Rcc Chimney

Abstract This paper presents a review on the various analysis that has been done on a tall reinforced concrete chimney under wind load as well as earthquake load. Three dimensional soil structure interactions, dynamic analysis, effect of wind load and earthquake analysis has been done on the structure. Various parametric studies have been done for finding out the effect of each factor. Four soil types are considered for the analysis namely loose sand, medium sand dense sand and rock. All the values assumed and loads taken are as per the codal provision.
