Exploring the Role of ERP in Education: A Review of Trends, Benefits, and Limitations

Abstract Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have become critical software infrastructure for educational institutions to integrate administrative, academic, and financial processes into a unified platform. This paper reviews the literature on educational ERP systems, focusing on their architectures, implementation challenges, benefits, success factors, and emerging trends such as cloud deployment, user experience, and analytics. We synthesize findings to highlight gaps and suggest directions for future research.
