| Abstract | The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore the strategies employed by school leaders in promoting classroom-based research in the Division of Davao de Oro. The study involved 10 public school leaders who play a critical role in fostering research-driven cultures among educators. Recognizing the role of research in enhancing teaching effectiveness and student learning, this study investigates how school leaders create a supportive environment for teacher-researchers. Using qualitative methods, data were collected through in-depth interviews with school leaders, focusing on their experiences, challenges, strategies, and insights. Key findings revealed that effective strategies include fostering a research-oriented school culture, providing professional development opportunities, offering institutional support, recognition and incentives, and leadership practices that create an enabling environment for research. However, despite these efforts, challenges such as time constraints, limited research skills, and administrative workload persist, requiring targeted interventions. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of leadership-driven initiatives in integrating research into educational practice. The findings aim to inform policies that strengthen research engagement among educators and ultimately contribute to a more research-driven education system. |
