VERTICAL FARMING: Vertical Farming at Badia –farms-pioneering sustainable Agriculture in the UAE

| Abstract | This study looks at Badia Farms as the first commercial vertical indoor farm in the United Arab Emirates and it is situated in the Al Quoz Industrial Area of Dubai. Badia farms was established in 2018, it grows microgreens and herbs without the usage of pesticides by using hydroponic technology. The Farm’s creative strategy helps the UAE achieve its goals for food security by addressing issues including water shortage and a lack of arable land. Badia Farms is a prime example of the possibilities of vertical farming in dry areas because of technical breakthroughs and smart collaborations. |
