Nexus between Lobbying Practices by teacher Based Unions and Teachers’ Productivity in the Education Sector in Kenya: A Case of KNUT

Abstract	Teacher productivity is strongly influenced by fairness in employment practices and policy implementation, often mediated by the effectiveness of union lobbying. In Kenya, the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) plays a pivotal role in lobbying for improved teacher welfare, equitable promotions, and favorable working conditions. This study examined the relationship between lobbying practices and fairness in the education sector, focusing on three dimensions: issue-based lobbying, transparent and evidence-based lobbying, and collaborative and inclusive lobbying.
