| Abstract | The microcontroller-based intelligent weight monitoring solution for the optimized truck load project is introduced. Overloading is a critical issue in transportation, leading to increased road damage, safety hazards, and legal non-compliance. An intelligent weight monitoring system for optimal truck load compliance addresses these challenges by providing a device and a real-time weight monitoring solution. Load sensors placed under the truck bed measure cargo weight, with signals processed by a microcontroller. The system displays real-time weight data on a light-emitting diode (LED) screen and includes a camera to capture the license plates of vehicles detected as overweight. A wireless module enables data transmission to a remote server, allowing for efficient data logging, compliance tracking, and overload alerts. By enhancing monitoring capabilities, the intelligent weight monitoring system aims to support adherence to weight regulations and improve overall fleet safety and efficiency. The evaluation of the intelligent weight monitoring system for optimized truck load management revealed a high level of effectiveness across multiple performance dimensions. Users demonstrated strong satisfaction with the system’s robust security architecture, which ensures the confidentiality and integrity of vehicle data and alert communications, thereby reinforcing trust in its operational reliability. The usability assessment indicated that the interface is intuitively designed, providing precise and comprehensible displays of critical information such as weight thresholds, license plate recognition, and timestamped records. In terms of reliability, the system exhibited stable and consistent functionality under varying operational conditions, signifying its capability to support continuous truck load compliance monitoring. Furthermore, the efficiency analysis confirmed that the integration of the load cell and camera modules delivers highly accurate, real-time data transmission and analysis with minimal latency. Collectively, these findings underscore the system’s potential as a dependable, secure, and technologically advanced solution for intelligent transportation and logistics monitoring. |
