| Abstract | This study explores the role of Khalsa Samachar in promoting women’s education in Punjab. The newspaper played a crucial part in raising awareness through a series of articles focused on the importance of female literacy, societal benefits of educating women, and success stories of educated women. By publishing thought-provoking pieces, Khalsa Samachar influenced public perception, encouraging families to support girls’ education. The Impact of this awareness campaign is reflected in census data, which shows a significant rise in women’s literacy rates over time. Statistical comparisons indicate that the literacy rate among women improved notably in areas where Khalsa Samachar had a strong readership. The newspaper not only informed but also motivated Punjabi peoples and educational institutions to take active measures for female education. |
