Impact Of Ergonomics For Creating Healthy Working Environment In Educational Institution

Abstract Ergonomics is the scientific study of people in relation to their working environment, with the goal of improving efficiency, safety, comfort, and overall well-being. It involves designing tools, equipment, furniture, and workspaces to fit the physical and cognitive abilities of users, thereby minimizing stress, injury, and fatigue. This branch particularly deals with different equipments in workplace and provides the shape and direction in such a manner that helps to accommodate the worker, which enhance the productivity of the worker and as well as also the organization. The objective is to reduce discomfort and the likelihood of injury associated with work. This qualitative study examines how ergonomic conditions within educational institutions influence the experiences, comfort, and performance of students and faculty. As physical learning environments play a crucial role in academic success and well-being, this research aims to explore different dimensions of ergonomics in educational institution like classrooms, laboratories, and office spaces etc. This analysis focused different aspects like physical discomfort due to poorly designed seating and desk arrangements, the influence of lighting and ventilation of the rooms and fatigue, necessary of awareness about ergonomic needs, and the positive impact of adjustable furniture and flexible spaces .The study emphasized the way of ergonomic improvements and how it can enhance the comfort and productivity of the classrooms. The study focused in ergonomic design is essential not only for physical health but also for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This study contributes to the growing call for educational institutions to prioritize ergonomics in infrastructural planning and policy development. The information for the study has been collected mainly from many books, reviews, articles which were consulted during the study period.
