Abstract	Background: Schizophrenia is a chronic and severe neuropsychiatric disorder requiring long-term pharmacotherapy. Oral administration remains the most convenient route for antipsychotic delivery, yet many antipsychotic drugs suffer from issues like poor solubility, low bioavailability, and dose-related side effects. Objective: The present study aims to formulate and evaluate an oral capsule containing a selected antipsychotic drug to enhance its therapeutic efficacy, patient compliance, and pharmacokinetic profile. Methods: Capsules were formulated using direct compression and encapsulation methods, incorporating suitable excipients for optimized drug release. Pre-compression and post-compression parameters (e.g., flow properties, weight variation, hardness, disintegration, and drug content uniformity) were evaluated. In vitro drug release studies were conducted to assess the dissolution profile.
