| Abstract | Through staff involvement, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement, total quality management, or TQM, has become a strategic method to attaining organizational excellence. Strong quality management systems are necessary for the packaged food business to maintain growth and compliance because of its fierce rivalry and stringent quality standards. The purpose of this pilot project is to evaluate how TQM procedures affect organizational performance in Pune District's packaged food companies. In particular, the study examines how important TQM dimensions—leadership commitment, customer focus, process management, continuous improvement, and staff participation—relate to operational and financial performance metrics. Twenty-five managers from different packaged food firms were given a standardized questionnaire to complete in order to gather primary data. The validity and internal consistency of the research tool were evaluated using descriptive statistics and reliability tests (Cronbach's Alpha). The initial results show that overall organizational performance and the degree of TQM implementation are positively correlated. While employee involvement shown moderate effectiveness, leadership commitment and process management were found to be the most impactful elements. The reliability of the questionnaire is confirmed by the pilot findings, which also offer important information for improving the main study. The results highlight how important it is to implement an integrated TQM framework in order to improve the packaged food industry's efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness. In addition to providing management implications for cultivating a quality-driven culture in manufacturing firms, this study adds to the expanding corpus of empirical evidence on TQM. |
