| Abstract | ABSTRACT Forensic science has become an indispensable component of modern criminal justice systems across the world. Forensic science is the use of scientific methods and techniques to the matter under investigation by a court of law. With rapid advances in technology, new forensic techniques are reshaping the way crimes are investigated, prosecuted, and adjudicated. This review article explores recent developments in forensic science, including DNA analysis, digital forensics, forensic psychology, and artificial intelligence applications. It further examines the challenges of admissibility, reliability, and ethical concerns in forensic practice, with a specific focus on the Indian context. The review concludes by highlighting the significance of forensic science in ensuring fair trials, enhancing conviction rates, and promoting justice. |
