Country India
Abstract Stress-related disorders and mental ill-health are major global health concerns affecting emotional, psychological, and physical well-being (1,2). Ayurveda, the ancient Indian medical system, offers a holistic framework for stress moderation and mental health promotion emphasizing individualized approaches through Rasayana therapy, adaptogenic botanicals, mind–body techniques, and psychotherapeutic principles termed Satvavajaya Chikitsa (3,4). This review integrates classical Ayurvedic theory and contemporary clinical research, evaluating therapeutic strategies including Panchakarma, Yoga, Pranayama, diet, and lifestyle modifications (5,6). Current evidence supports Ayurveda as an integrative model for personalized, effective stress and mental health management that aligns with emerging psychosomatic and psychoneuroimmunology paradigms (7,8). Further research is encouraged to refine protocols and optimize patient outcomes globally (9,10).
