Abstract The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education paves the way for a new era of transformation in which personalization, adaptability, and student-centered education are prominent. This paper investigates the impact of AI technologies on modern education, with a focus on how they transform traditional pedagogy and improve learning outcomes. Artificial intelligence–based tools like intelligent tutoring systems, predictive analytics and natural language processing are helping educators on various levels personalize content, tempo and assessments to individual students. AI’s ability to continuously process real-time data – such as student performance and engagement – allows for such technology to understand learning gaps and recommend specific interventions while meeting different learning styles. The report also addresses the role for AI to automate various administrative tasks and free up teachers to concentrate their time on creative and interpersonal elements of teaching. This paper also reveals how AI technologies are currently being applied in education in many countries. Most of the countries are implementing the artificial intelligence (AI) in their education system. Based on a literature review of current practices and emerging trends, this article helps to understand the application of artificial intelligence in education which changes the ancient education system. The results invite due consideration that, with ethical, inclusive application, AI has the capability to support a student’s equitable, efficient, effective learning environment - ushering in a next generation's personalized education that speaks to learning needs of 21st-century learners.
