Abstract These research paper describes the context and justification of the research that will involve role of women entrepreneurs in regions most disaster prone to extreme weather in Bangladesh. Although some socio-economic issues are confronting female individuals in these areas, women are proving resilient by enlisting themselves to entrepreneurship. The result is not only a financial help to their families but also the growth of the community, as well as its stability. This could be done by empowering women by being entrepreneurs and in the process it would be possible to see that the effect of a disaster is reduced and the consequence would be the role of creating sustainable economic growth and peace. The paper aims at delving into these dynamics with the objective of establishing a platform on which policy recommendations and future interventions can be based to enable the agency of women in disaster prone areas.
