| Abstract | When it comes to production scheduling and planning, the production inventory model is crucial. Practitioners in the domains of inventory and production management frequently use the EPQ model to help them decide on the best production and overall cost. The rates of production, demand, and deterioration all affect the overall cost of production. The production inventory model with deteriorating items in this paper considers two different rates of production. Production may begin at one rate and then switch to another rate over time. This is a desirable scenario because, by beginning at a low rate of production, a large quantity stock of manufacturing items is considered. The holding cost is decreased since the first stage is avoided. The variance in production rate offers a means of achieving both potential profit and customer satisfaction. The model is taken into consideration: the production inventory model without shortages. The ideal production lot size that minimizes the overall cost is determined using an appropriate mathematical model. An illustrative example is given and numerically validated, along with the global optimal solution.” |
