| Abstract | Storytelling is a fundamental educational and cultural practice that influences children’s emotional intelligence, cognitive skills, and social understanding. This paper investigates how structured and creative storytelling interventions enhance children’s emotional regulation, empathy, imagination, and problem-solving abilities. Drawing on contemporary empirical studies and developmental theories, the paper identifies mechanisms including narrative comprehension, perspective-taking, and imaginative engagement that contribute to holistic child development. Evidence suggests that regular storytelling promotes language acquisition, creativity, social skills, and self-expression. Practical strategies for educators and parents are provided to integrate storytelling effectively into daily learning routines. |
