| Abstract | Exam pressure is a common stressor in children’s academic lives and can significantly influence their psychological well-being, learning behavior, and overall development. This paper examines the effects of high-stakes testing and academic expectations on children, highlighting both short-term and long-term consequences such as anxiety, reduced motivation, and decreased self-esteem. Drawing on educational psychology theories and empirical research, the paper explores coping strategies, parental roles, and school interventions to mitigate the negative impacts of exam stress. |
