Rural vs Urban Childhood: A Comparative Study

Abstract This paper examines the differences and similarities between rural and urban childhood experiences, focusing on cognitive, social, and educational development. Drawing on empirical studies, sociological theories, and educational research, it analyzes how environment, family background, access to resources, and social opportunities influence children’s learning, socialization, and overall development. The study highlights the role of infrastructure, parental involvement, and cultural context in shaping childhood outcomes and provides recommendations to bridge disparities between rural and urban children.
