Author(s) ANTARA MEDDA

Abstract This research paper explores the importance of folk tales and stories as effective tools for imparting cultural education among children. Folk tales serve as a bridge between generations, transmitting moral values, social norms, and cultural heritage in a form that is both engaging and memorable. The study analyzes how storytelling shapes children’s understanding of their roots, traditions, and identity while fostering imagination and empathy. Drawing from educational and psychological perspectives, the paper concludes that integrating folk stories into formal and informal education can strengthen cultural continuity, moral awareness, and intercultural respect among young learners.
