Developing Leadership Skills in School-Age Children

Author(s) PARAMESWAR SINHA
Country India
Abstract This research paper examines how leadership skills can be effectively nurtured in school-age children through structured educational practices, collaborative learning, and extracurricular activities. The study highlights the role of teachers, parents, and schools in fostering essential leadership traits such as confidence, communication, empathy, responsibility, and problem-solving. Drawing from psychological and educational theories, the paper argues that leadership is not an innate ability but a set of skills that can be developed through practice, encouragement, and guided opportunities. The research concludes that early leadership education contributes to personal growth, social awareness, and future civic engagement.
