Importance of Art and Drawing in Child Development

Abstract This paper examines the role of art and drawing in the cognitive, emotional, social, and motor development of children. Drawing and other creative activities provide avenues for self-expression, problem-solving, and imagination. The research highlights how engagement in art promotes fine motor skills, emotional regulation, creativity, and academic performance. It also discusses influencing factors such as parental support, school environment, and curriculum integration, providing recommendations for fostering artistic development in children.
