| Abstract | This paper explores the influence of music on cognitive development in children, highlighting its role in enhancing memory, attention, problem-solving, and language skills. Drawing on contemporary research in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and education, the paper argues that music exposure—both passive (listening) and active (instrumental practice, singing)—positively impacts neural connectivity and executive functioning. It further examines the mechanisms through which music stimulates cognitive growth and discusses practical strategies for integrating music into early childhood education. The study concludes with recommendations for parents, educators, and policymakers to leverage music as a tool for fostering holistic cognitive development in children. |
