Author(s) ANUBHAB TARAFDER

Abstract Parental care plays a foundational role in shaping a child’s confidence, self-esteem, and emotional well-being. Children who receive consistent emotional support, affection, and guidance from parents tend to develop a stronger sense of security and self-worth. This research explores how parental involvement, communication patterns, and nurturing behaviors influence confidence formation during early and middle childhood. The paper further discusses the long-term effects of parenting styles on a child’s social interactions and academic success, emphasizing that confidence is not innate but cultivated through emotional connection and trust.
