Impact of Storytelling on Emotional Development in Children

Abstract This paper explores the role of storytelling in promoting emotional development among children. Storytelling, a timeless pedagogical practice, not only enhances language and cognitive skills but also nurtures empathy, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. Drawing from developmental psychology, educational research, and empirical studies, this paper examines the mechanisms through which storytelling influences children’s emotional growth and provides recommendations for integrating storytelling effectively in educational settings.
