Learning Through Play: Building Skills in Early Childhood

Abstract This paper explores the importance of play in early childhood as a critical tool for cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Drawing on developmental psychology, educational theories, and empirical research, it emphasizes that structured and unstructured play experiences foster creativity, problem-solving, communication, and social skills. The study also examines factors influencing play, including family support, school environment, and access to resources, and offers recommendations to maximize the benefits of play in young children’s holistic development.
