A Study To Assess The Level Of Job Satisfaction And Its Associated Factors Among Community Health Officers In Selected Health And Wellness Centers Of District Ludhiana, Punjab

Abstract Job satisfaction of health care professionals is highly important in building up employee interest and efficiency. Higher job satisfaction determines better employee performance and a higher level of patient satisfaction, which ultimately leads to competitive advantage and greater productivity of the organization. The study aimed to explore the level of satisfaction among community health officers and its associated factors. A quantitative research approach was used, and data were collected from 200 community health officers in Ludhiana using a self-structured five-point Likert scale. The results showed that 50.5% were satisfied with their job, 48% were moderately satisfied, and 1.5% were unsatisfied. No significant association was found between socio-demographic variables and job satisfaction. The study concluded that the majority of community health officers were satisfied with their job in Ludhiana, Punjab.
