| Abstract | This study aims to explore the role and effect of sanitary pad advertisements in shaping the perception and sense of shame regarding menstruation among Chinese women, especially among the teenage group. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis of 82 questionnaire responses combined with a literature review of existing advertising strategies, this study shows that Sofy’s advertisement has the best effect on converting people’s views on menstruation positively. Moreover, the paper also talks about some recommendations for companies to improve public sentiment towards menstruation. |
