Role of ICT Tools in National Education Policy 2020

| Abstract | Higher education in every country needs sound education policy at college and university level which leads to the production of best scholars in the field of both Science and Arts. Each country adopts their own education system by considering tradition and culture so as to make it effective. In the present digital era, almost all our educational activities become digitalized. The students are also demanding more technology services from their universities and colleges. Henceforth, it is essential to provide learning environment with enhanced technology in order to satisfy student’s present needs and future demands. Eventually, there is a need for the educationalist to get adapted with the ICT tools. This paper aims to identify the digitalization perspective of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and analyses the ICT tools offered in the Learning Management System (LMS) and in the field of Artificial Intelligence. This paper also highlights the benefits of cloud computing in education as well as in the higher education and the services of the three major cloud service providers namely Amazon, Microsoft, and Google App in the education sector. Finally, a comparative study of these service provider products based on the different parameters like services, cost and security are prepared and outcomes of this study are listed in this paper. |
