Assessing the Effectiveness of Government’s Tertiary Fee Relief Program in Ghana: A Student Perspective.

Author(s) Ms. Zenabu Badzoe Kanton
Country Ghana
Abstract This qualitative study explores the effectiveness of Ghana's Tertiary Fee Relief Program from a student perspective, highlighting its impact on promoting equitable access to higher education. The findings reveal that while the program has alleviated financial burdens and improved academic performance, its effectiveness is hindered by challenges such as inadequate awareness, delays in disbursement of funds, and limited coverage of expenses. The study recommends improvements in awareness creation, disbursement processes, and funding to enhance the program's efficiency, transparency, and sustainability. The findings and recommendations of this study provide valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders seeking to promote equitable access to quality higher education in Ghana.
