| Abstract | Rasna Saptakam Kashayam and Rasna Erandadi Kashayam are classical Ayurvedic decoctions widely indicated for Vata-Kapha-dominant disorders. Both preparations are based on Rasna and Eranda as principal drugs, possessing potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and Vata-shamaka properties. The main site of action of Rasna Saptakam Kashayam is Ashti Sandhi. The combination of drugs in Rasna Saptakam Kashayam primarily helps to relieve sandhyasrita vatavikaras with amanubhandhatwam. Rasna Erandadi Kashayam emphasizes on properties like Tridosha shaman, Vata Anulomana, Deepana, Raktaprasadana and Lekhana. The present discussion explores their detailed mode of action from Ayurvedic viewpoints, including Dosha, Dhatu, and Srotas levels, and comparative clinical applications. |
