Abstract	Consanguineous marriage refers to the union between close relatives and is still common in many parts of India and the world. Although such marriages are culturally and socially preferred, they increase the risk of genetic disorders and birth defects. Adolescents, as future parents, often have limited awareness of these health consequences.
