| Abstract | In Ayurveda, 'Granthi' refers to localized nodular swellings caused by vitiation of Doshas and Dhatus. Modern correlates include benign conditions like lipoma and cyst. This review explores the concept of Granthi with special reference to lipoma and cyst, analyzing classical Ayurvedic literature and contemporary perspectives. The paper also highlights both Shalya Tantra (surgical) and Shamana (internal) management strategies, aiming to provide a holistic view. Ayurveda offers a multifaceted approach, combining internal purification, herbal formulations, and para-surgical techniques such as Agnikarma and Chedana for effective management. |
