| Abstract | In India, the earthquakes forces and wind forces are necessary studies in structural engineering. This project study about the behavior of different types of bracings systems in seismic zones 5. The project work introduces the modeling of G+10 storied buildings with bracings and without bracings. The bracings are located in corner or edges of the buildings as per 1893-2016 code provisions. The effects due to horizontal forces are analyzed by RSA in zone 5 using the ETABS software and the seismic parameters such as story displacement, story drifts, story shear and overturning moment are compared. It was observed that K-Bracing system is ideal when compared to X-Bracing system and V-Bracing system. |
