| Abstract | This study examines the behavioural aspects and potential abilities among Sales Representative of different Dairy Units focusing on identifying employee competencies, development needs, and competency for promotion. Potential appraisal is a crucial tool in talent management that forecasts employees’ capability to assume higher responsibilities in the future. A structured questionnaire was administered to 140 sales representatives using random sampling method. The study employed statistical tools such as ANOVA and weighted average to test hypotheses related to age, gender, and experience. Results revealed that age significantly influenced group effectiveness and experience influenced analytical ability. Behavioral factors such as confidence and decision-making emerged as key strengths. The study concludes that systematic potential appraisal enhances employee development, succession planning, and organizational productivity. |
